Ingredients for the crust:
- Soft Flour 200gm
- Margarine/ Butter 100gm
- A pinch of salt
- Milk/Water 3-4 tbsp
- Egg Yolk 1 nos
Ingredients for the fillings:
- Canned Tomato Sardine Fish
- Oil
- Onion
- Sugar
- Salt and pepper
Methods:
- Using the rub in method, mix together the butter with the flour and a pinch of salt.
- Add the milk on the center then knead it until it become a dough.
- Give it a rest for 15 minutes.
- While resting the dough, prepare your Sardine filling.
- Add oil and stir-fry the onion.
- When the onion is ready, put the sardine in.
- Add salt and pepper for taste.
- Since we are doing Pastry put some sugar as well.
- Let the fillings to cool down.
- Now you may start rolling the dough into a square.
- Then put the sardine filling, roll it and cut it into uniform sizes.
- Make a vertical line on top of it using a knife and brush the top with egg wash (egg yolk).
- Bake it for 20 minutes at 180 'C.
